Reitzel Bros. Environmental are fully insured and bonded for asbestos abatement and removal and are one of the only licensed companies by the Ministry of the Environment for asbestos and PCB disposal.
As well as remediation and abatement of dangerous materials you should also be aware that before you proceed with building demolition you need to verify that the building does not contain any asbestos, PCBs, Zonolite vermiculite or lead that needs proper disposal. If your demolition contractor does not have the proper disposal authority you could be putting these dangerous carcinogens into landfills which is not only environmentally unsound but incorrect PCB or asbestos disposal is a crime which could result in fines!

PCBs are often found in transformers, light ballasts and capacitors. If your building has ballasts that are older than 1990 they will contain PCBs and have to be disposed of in a proper manner.
Reitzel Bros. completely indemnifies customers and saves them harmless from all liability associated with handling, moving and destroying their PCBs.

Asbestos has been used as insulation for pipes, boilers, tanks, ducts as well as general insulation in Zonolite vermiculite. Also used as a fire retardant this dangerous material is known to be a carcinogen when it degrades and becomes airborne. During building reconstruction, expansion or demolition this material is more likely to become airborne where it becomes an airborne carcinogen and a danger to people in the vicinity.
High density non-friable asbestos-containing products, such as asbestos-cement cladding, pipe, roofing tiles, vinyl floor tiles, gaskets and packings and friction materials should also be tested for and disposed of during repair, construction or demolition activities.
Reitzel Bros. Environmental are qualified, trained and bonded in asbestos removal through site remediation and abatement of dangerous building materials including asbestos, Zonolite vermiculite and lead.
